A little over a week ago i bought a 2006 honda civic from a honda dealership. While driving i hit a rather large pothole that i guess put a hole in the radiator. I got out to check for damage didn't see anything no smells, didn't see anything leaking figured i would continue to drive home. While on my way the car was driving completely normal but stalled out. Apparently the engine overheated and now when the car starts it sounds horrible and stalls if you put it in drive. The car is under the most protection the insurance company offers but someone said that they wont cover the engine because I continued driving on it even though I didn't know that there was something wrong. After further examination The radiator actually got dented and hit one of the fans for the engine but theres no way to tell that unless you lift the car looking at it with the car being normal you cant tell it ever hit anything.

I was in a car accident when a girl blew a red light and smashed into my side. $10,000 in auto damages that was fixed rights away. I was told by the doctor that the mri on my back said I have two herniated disks and I should do therapy. I listened to him and went four times per week for four months. The Mri on my neck came back good. But my knee showed a tear in mcl. I had surgery on that and had to see the surgeon in his office twice plus hospital bills which equals a bill of $14,500. I then needed 2 months of therapy on my knee. Also all the pain meds ive been taking through out the whole process is around $600. I had a ekg for my nerves to test if they were good and that cost $800. So after doing my research I find websites that say the settlement amount s should be all bills multiplied by 3 depending on the persons insurance carrier and coverage. Well this person has $200,000/$200,000. So far all my bills have been paid through my insurance. When I do the math for what all the bills are is comes to roughly $28350. I didn't include the four days per week for therapy and seeing the doctors. That has to be a big chunk also. My lawyer called me and said he was made an offer of $42,000. He gets a 1/3 of that. I think they low balled me soooo bad on this. If i use the X3 multiplier method then it should have been somewhere around $85,000 offer. Remember I didn't even include all the visits to the therapy. Is this a good offer or should I decline and wait for second offer? My lawyer thinks we should wait it out because he has such a big insurance policy that we can get much more especially since that was our first offer.

i was looking around for auto insurance to see if there was anything cheaper than what im paying now. im a 20 year old male with a 2005 scion tc. i have been driving for about 2 years and currently use state farm. when i first insured my car 2 years ago, i was paying $148/mo. due to a speeding ticket, it has risen to $194/mo. i also have comprehensive and collision with a $500 deductible. $100,000/$300,000 coverage with full glass also. not complaining, i think this is great i looked at nationwide, allstate, geico, and progressive. these companies are supposed to be so great, but progressive quoted me at $485/mo for the same coverage! the other companies where all in that general area. progressives state minimum coverage plan for me was almost $300/mo. why do these other companies cost so much more? im not complaining about mine, obviously im not gonna switch, but i am curious as to the difference in price.

I have had a valid Canadian G2 license for about 3 years, as well as a Romanian (EU) full license for 8 years. I'm 26. The car would be a small car, and the region either Dublin or Cork. New driver trying to get insurance... Quote for 1750 in November... Why has it gone up to 4400 now?

Hello all, I'm 17 years old (male) and passed my test earlier this month. In November I just thought I'd get a rough figure for insuring a 1.2L Corsa (2001)... I got a quote from Quinn Direct for 1750 (I put in the details as if I had already passed etc). So yes, more than the car is worth, but my parents and grandparents were willing to help me out with it, and I was pleased. So, Christmas has been and I thought I'd get looking... I went back on to Quinn Direct and now for a 1L Corsa (2001)... The quote is 4450!! That is ridiculous! It's true, I'm a 17 year old male... Bla bla... But 4450 for a 1 Litre car? All my friends are with Quinn Direct, and their 1.3L Fiesta's etc are only 1900 to insure! Gocompare and all those don't give me much better quotes either. I've also done the Pass Plus. Can anyone shed some light on this please? Thanks!

Hi, I'm going to be renting a house with 3 friends this semester, and I'm looking at renter's insurance. My current insurance company says they don't do policies that would cover the whole household. Is this just common practice, or is it possible with another company? Are we better off just getting individual insurance, or could it be cheaper to get one policy to cover the entire household?
